Have you ever thought that what people had been doing without fax machines or scanners? How had they been communicating with their friends, family members and colleagues? If you go back into nineteen eighties, you would find the method of telegraph or telex for sending some urgent correspondence that was too slow and less reliable. You would also not find any other correspondence device like Photostat machines or cell phones.
If ever you wanted to take your urgent photograph, you would have to first finish the whole spool of film that was inserted inside the camera. You could not take out only one photo out of the spool of 24 or 34 shots and if you did so, you would have to waste the remaining unused spool film. And if you were interested to send those photos to somebody, you would take your spool to laboratory to develop. You would put them into envelope and post it. This whole process would take almost three week that was definitely a long process to communicate. But now the communication has become very fast. You can take your photo through digital camera and email it to your friend in a minute.
